Jess came from the surface to host the gala announcement. Vincent Viceroy himself was on hand to give the command codes to Captain Ophelia Oliver. Nancy Branson stood with the Captain as the formal announcement was made.
Vincent stood back and saluted as Captain Ophelia Oliver was given formal command of Governor's Station as the station was transferred back to King's Fleet control from the Vulcan High Command.
Admiral T'Ora herself was at the gala but left shortly after Elizabeth Coren and Captain T'tan arrived together. T'Ora glared at T'tan as she openly flaunted her emotional connection to Elizabeth. T'Ora was visibly disgusted. Elizabeth was suddenly happy again. She had been so bitter over recent activity including Maya Coren and Nicole Branson.
Major Tanus stood with Nancy Branson and Dr. Madison Laree as everyone mingled. Jessamine Leo had outdone herself and done the legacy of the great galas of the Phoenix Colony proud with the amazing meal. Galley, her Caitain mate smiled as the wonderous spread was put out for everyone to enjoy.
Galley put his arm on the shoulder of Jessamine and grinned, "Well done, Jess."
Jess kissed him on the snout, "I had a good teacher."
"Mary Lou Cole and Felicity Powers.", Galley joked.
Jess patted his butt and giggled as her fingers touched his tail.
Vincent walked up to Ophelia, "You will be just fine."
"That she will.", Theresa Oliver walked up with Dr. Starlight Greene.
Ophelia looked up, "Terry."
"Opie.", Terry mocked.
Vincent laughed out loud at the very old Earth pop culture reference. Star looked at Terry, "You will have to forgive my flight commander."
Ophelia grinned, "It is what having a baby sister is all about."
Vincent smiled and headed away from the hornet's nest.
