Admiral Tim Veltkamp had made the arrangements. The King's Fleet needed to make a formal presentation of its leadership to Star Fleet for posting at Paris with the Academy. It was critical for recruitment.
Admiral Vincent Viceroy and Captain John Warren were asked to appear in the photo. Vincent as the most senior officer in the King's Fleet and John as the Task Force Commander.
Star Fleet had sent a photographer for the image. She ordered Vincent to appear with his wife, Elora Vasa. She had no idea how estranged the couple was. Elora could barely stand to stand close to Vincent right now.
The photographer then caused a stir by asking the John appear not with Commander Dawn Keystone, his first officer and on again off again girlfriend but with Commander T'Zohl of Vulcan. The image would be better served with the legendary Vulcan pilot than with the Dr. Wa'ak genetic hybrid. Dawn was deeply hurt but John told her that this was Star Fleet, this was not the Quest and promised to make it up to hr.
The photographer asked Elora to stand closer to Vincent but she did not move in right away. The photographer mocked, "He is your husband."
"And the father of your children.", she continued.
"The children are Commander Cole Russo's.", Vincent interupted.
"Not all of them.", Elora frowned.
"What?", Vincent turned to Elora.
Elora slowly rubbed her tummy. She was disgusted with herself. She was still very upset with Vincent over his attachment to Brooklyn Paneera.
Vincent grinned, "Wow!!"
He picked her up in celebration. She giggled. This was not the response she thought would happen.
This was suddenly a much more joyous event and a better pictures. Who would not want to serve with us...
