Nicole was working hard on her German. The universal translator did not always work in Berlyn yet. She and Werner had even become friends. Jess and Nicole had worked hard to get Leo's open in Berlyn.
Jess remembered when she was a struggling pilot on the Tanmesad and Nicole remained her only friend. She remembered how tough it was for her. She also remembered what Nicole had done for her and Galley here on the colony both her and on Omega II.
Nicole smiled when Werner introduced his daughter Katarina at Leo's. She had not even thought about anyone in that way since her and Zoe had split. Katarina was extremely cute.
It would only be a couple of days later in Leo's when Katarina would do the unthinkable... She stepped forward and kissed Nicole. It was usually Nicole who would make the first move. She looked at Katarina and responded, "Wow!"
This is when it began for them...
Life tends to work in mysterious ways. Nicole has lost her seat as Governor. She has lost her romance with Zoe. She has lost much but in meeting Katarina maybe she has found something more.
