Zoe looked at Vincent as he lay on the bed. She thought about Brooklyn and more about Elora. She thought about the two young children sleeping in the nearby quarters and she thought of her dreams living as an adopted child of Mark and Brigette Smythe on Earth.
This was her fantasy. It was as she dreamed it would be. She was now married to a wonderful man. They had two children, adopted or otherwise and she was living the dream that she wanted.
Briefly she thought about Nicole and the romance they shared. She loved Nicole but not in the way she could love Vincent. Theirs was a special friendship but here, she could be something else. She could be a wife and mother.
