Christine watched as Tanus and Bell went shot for shot. She looked at Samantha and frowned. These boys had been on the Cardassian front. They shared a common bond. Christine could see it on their eyes.
Tanus looked at Bell, "The war was tough on everyone. We are the ground in the horrors of the Klingons. Who can understand what we have been through except you and I."
"Are you flirting with me, major?", Bell announced.
Christine watched in shock as Bell and the Gorn left together. She thought of her expos on Branson's failed relationships. She now watched her own destroyed right in front of her.
Christine and Samantha sat there drinking. Love sucks sometimes.
