I was asked the other day by a fan of our little soap opera about the sequencing of the storyline as it relates to the Mission Posts and the Personal Logs in order to keep the storyline straight.
The rule of thumb is basically a simple one:
If the story relates to the larger mission or requires two writers to establish the story, then it should be entered as a mission posts.
If the story is related to your character and your character alone, it should be entered as a persoal log.
If the story is a sub-plot or not related to the actual mission (like those primarily used for NPC character development), it should be entered as a peronal log.
