Operation Omega Empty
PostSubject: Operation Omega   Operation Omega EmptyMon Apr 08, 2013 8:14 pm

Maple Coren came to Camelot to attend the Academy hoping to catch the same magic that had inspired Orchid and Magenta to take the Coren name further than even Admiral Illyan Coren himself could. She was the younger cousin of the two legends.

Orchid paid for her matyrdom with her life thanks to Addison Laree and Magenta lives on thanks to the Trill host and to Detavva's promise. Illyan is a mere shadow of the great man who once pioneered the Corinthian Station System. Now he is little more than the host to gala events to allow Daimon Ress Komol to parade his wealth around the colonies.

Maple wanted something more. She wanted to be special too. She watched in earnest as Captain S'Nii described life aboard the Providence and her failures as a Captain and vividly described in detail the failure of the USS Archangel. She alone was responsible. She described being content to serve as the marine transport. Maple looked at the lack of spirit in her eyes. It was not her Vulcan nature but instead it was what was lost; what had been taken from her.

Maple was about to become a Medical Doctor but she was more. Like Magenta and Orchid, she understood the spirit of existence. She stopped S'Nii, "For someone named for the Sun in the sky, you don't shine as brightly as you once did."

"I am hardly named for the star at the center of the Milky Way.", Captain S'Nii mocked.

"You once had so much fire. I watched your valedictorian speech at the Omega Academy so many times that I have the words memorized. You had such promise and a few setbacks later, you are content to be a taxi driver for the dogs; the glorified dog catcher.", Maple taunted.

"I am in command of a vessel again.", S'Nii answered back.

"A Rhodes Island Class... You may as well be driving a Ford Pinto.", Maple hoped that S'Nii would get the ancient reference.

"And what would you have me do?", S'Nii snapped.

"Look around you. Many a great rebellion began with the students. These people look around and see the cesspool that Camelot has become. They are smart. They are vibrant. They are looking for a rallying cry.", Maple looked at S'Nii.

"For centuries, all races looked to the Vulcans for leadership and for an example of choosing the ritious path. Emperor V'Ros took that from us. Now we see the Vulcans as a great culture clinging to its history. We see Vulcans clinging to youth, chosing blue hair and appearing naked in the bath of the Governor for RDTV rather than choosing to do what is right. You could give them that. Just as the Sun sets, it shall surely rise again.", Maple tried to inspire the former symbol of student greatness.

"Please, Betazed. You are just a child. You have no idea of the ways of the real world.", S'Nii looked at Maple.

"I know one thing. I know that I want more for Camelot.", Maple looked at S'Nii.

S'Nii was walking down the hallway when she saw Colonel Teero. She looked at Acrylos, "Colonel, Where is the Vulcan Victory?"

"She is in high orbit space dock being repaired from our last defeats.", Acrylos responded, "Why would you ask such a question?"

"No reason.", S'Nii responded.

Lindsay looked at S'Nii. She saw a twinkle in her eye. This is something she had not seen in her young love in far too long.

"Why would you ask such a question?", Lindsay asked.

"Every rebellion begins with a single action.", S'Nii looked at Lindsay.

"Every rebellion needs a symbol; something for the people to grasp upon. Kirk stole the Enterprise... Picard stole the Enterpirse... S'Nii will steal the Vulcan Victory.", S'Nii smiled.

"Now we are talkin'", Lindsay grinned.

"Fetch me my doctor.", S'Nii looked at her First Officer.

"You have no doctor.", Lindsay looked puzzled.

"I do now.", S'Nii looked at Lindsay know that the young Viceroy would know exactly what she was talking about. Dr. Maple Coren needs to be on the Double V when she takes flight.

"Inform the Orion Syndicate, the Ferengi Trade Federation, the United Federation of Planets, the Betazoid Alliance and the Romulan Star Empire that Camelot is no longer open for business without the formal protocol of the King's Fleet in place. Inform these great nations of our intent to liberate the colony from the Latinum craze and restore its honor.", S'Nii looked at Lindsay.

"It would be my pleasure.", Lindsay smiled. She thought of Vincent, her Uncle and what he would think knowing that the colony had fallen so far.

As S'Nii and Lindsay entered the bridge, Praetor T'Ros announced on all channels, "The Romulan Star Empire will do whatever is necessary to maintain continued access to Camelot, Rutgers University and its capital city of Vorta'Rome."

S'Nii looked at Lindsay, "Colonel Teero owns the keys to the first step in taking back the colony. If he does not release the docking clamps, I will once again be a laughing stock. I will have left command of the Providence to become a rebel only to be made look like a fool. It is in his hands."

S"Nii looked at Lindsay, "Engage forward thrusters."

Bethany Montgomery walked onto the bridge, "Thrusters engaged. We are clearing the docking bay."

"Thank you, Chief Engineer.", S'Nii giggled.

Lindsay stood up, "Fucking "A"!"

"Couldn't have said it better myself.", S'Nii smiled at her human companion.

"And so it begins.", S'Nii announced.

"Lock down the city.", T'Ros demanded on all channels as she looked at her daughter T'Ken through the HUD Comm.

"I am afraid I cannot do that, mother.", T'Ken responded.

"The city is under our control.", Major Tanus came walking into the room surrounded by a ground a marines.

"T'Ken kill the Gorn.", T'Ros demanded.

T'Ken turned around and kissed Major Tanus on the snout, "And why would I do that mother. This is his city now."

Tanus turned to the HUD and smiled, "Welcome to Omega Prime, Capital City of Camelot, Neutral colony of the King's Fleet."

"This is Vorta'Rome, occupied city of the Romulan Star Empire Planet in the Cheron System. You will withdraw, you pathetic lizard.", T'Ros taunted.

Tanus bared his fangs and gave a roar, "Fleet brings the Flyers, Dragons bring the fire..."

"If you want the city, come and get it.", Tanus offered.

"Oh I will. I will.", T'Ros promised.

"Colonel Beamon, kill anyone who comes aboard Monarch Station.", T'Ros demanded of her Bolian ally. She loved that the Zombie leader stood up to the King's Fleet.

Saehir Marrus walked onto the bridge. T'Ros looked at her colleague, "Finally, a voice of Romulan reason. We will use Monarch Station to launch the Romulan Liberation Efforts."

Saehir looked at T'Ros, "I left a great man to stand with you, to be more Romulan and I watched a mighty colony turn from a beacon into a slew. I will not make that mistake again. I will stand with a great man."

Admiral Deveniss of Selay came walking in with Colonel Beamon, "There will be no Romulan Operations from here. This will serve as the place of business and trade done in a proper manner under the watchful eye of the Zombies and not done in the back room of Latinum Luxury. You are welcome to join us in peaceful negotiations or you are welcome to try to take the Castle from the Zombies."

Zoe looked at the camera, very happy to be repatrioted by the King's Fleet, "You can't kill us, we are already dead!!"

Summer looked at Admiral Tan dressed in Betazoid Blue and stopped to salute. Only days early, she had appeared in a trampy black dress next to the Hierarchy Clanner dressed in a top hat and tails. He adjusted his black uniform and saluted back, "Commander."

"Admiral.", Summer responded.

"Its good to be back.", Tan smiled.

Daimon-Ress Komol looked at Tan as Colonel Trmel escorted him from the station, "You will pay for this, Tan. This is not over."

"Oh its over. Its damn over! We followed you into the gold rush and have decided we did not like where it took us. We would rather be King's in a paupers paradise than chasing the fool's gold.", Tan lectured.

Summer grabbed his arm and rested her head on his shoulder. They had behaved so badly. There was much work to be done.

Waverly looked at Nicole as she watched the display, "Your people will want you to speak, Madame Governor."

'I have failed you as a wife. I have failed Ophelia as a mate. I have lost my beloved Monica. How can I represent these people?", Nicole fumbled for the words.

"I was never meant to be your wife, Nicole. These Tellarites have lost their greatness like Admiral Marcus-Brutus Pan'Taar. You speak for these people because you are the only one who can. You are like them. You get knocked down. You look down and out but somehow those around you rally to the cause and make things right again. This is why you speak for them.", Waverly laced her fingers into Nicole's.

Illyan walked onto the Operation Globe at Governor's Station. He was learning the same lessons as Branson. How can he speak for a Fleet that has so few vessels and has placed itself once again in great peril because of its isolence. The Federation is mad. The Syndicate and Trade Federation are beyond seething. The Romulans are threatening invasion. How can a lost Betazoid speak for this?

Illyan looked at Rear Admiral Leo, "What should I say?"

Detavva looked at Illyan, "It does not matter what you say, Admiral. You will be respected because you had the will to speak."

Loisa walked up and laced her fingers inside Illyan's. He looked out at the Vulcan Victory, the Quasar Quest, the Tanmesad, and the Providence orbiting around Governor's.

"I would like to thank Dr. Maple Coren for helping to remind us, to remind me and to show everyone that a great journey begins with a single action, a single voice of reason used to inspire others to action and by those actions to heroism. Captain S'Nii, we owe you a great debt. All those years ago, you were truly worthy of representing the graduating class and today, you showed us why.", Illyan smiled.

He took a single glass and raised it up, "Operation Omega is a true success. Admiral Veltkamp would have been proud."
