The Betazoid Alliance's refusal to disband after the Phoenix Liberation Wars would have to have a price. Everyone knew that standing up to the United Federation of Planets was not tolerated. The mighty juggernaut tries to portray itself as the great expanding democracy but it is little more than expansionist empire building.

The Federation wants all worlds under its thumb. If you will not join willingly, you can be crushed. The Fedeation needs to behave like the innocent defender of democracy. Appearance is everything. Standing down while the Romulan Empire re establishes its region presence is tantamount to arming the enemy.

The Federation has had troubles with the Tellarite Federation every since Nicole Branson helped re establish their relevance. This was an opportunity to fix several problems.

The Federation's military and exploration arm, Starfleet has grown weary of trying to give relevance to the many sub fleets. This was an opportunity to fix this problem, at least in one region anyway.

On March 8, 2394, The Romulan Task Force attacked and devastated the colony of Darona. There is still no way to know how many Tellarites were killed but the city of Londonwas laid to rest. This tragic devastation shows the dark side of interplanetary politics. The city was first established when the Federation began arming the Focal Pount rebels in the hopes of bringing down the Betazoid Alliance from within. The city had become a symbol of the Tellarite expanding influence. Now all that is lost. The advancing Romulans and their clear cutting assaults were reminiscent of the destruction of the first Camelot at Cheron Vi.

The Romulan Fleet moved onto First Corinthians. Field Marshal Belvedere Brown demanded a response from Starfleet. There would be no such response. The universe is filled with sadness. In 2380, 14 years ago, the First Corinthians Station was built as a symbol of the joint effort between Starfleet and the Betazoid a Alliance. It was a symbol of defiance in Phoenix Liberation Wars. The station burning in space served as a backdrop for the resignation of Belvedere Brown. This was not the Starfleet he knew. The mighty fleet used to stand for something and not to just be a tool of the Federation.

The Romulans wanted to establish its status as a superpower once more. The victories have mounted. The tactics of Admiral T'Ros and the aggression of Praetor Suran have led to the destruction of the Magenta's Monument, the Destiny Array and several ships in the King's Fleet? The losses still remain unknown.

Admiral T'Ros took great pleasure in embarrassing the King's Fleet and better yet Nicole Branson who was shown on OWN balling her eyes out cuddling in the fetal position on the floor humbled by the loss of life at her hands embarrassed by her inability to respond to the high end tactics of the Romulan ships.
Branson was destroyed. The image of her tossing the pips into the garbage on the Observatory show just how far she has fallen. There was literally nothing left. She had ruined it all.

It was not until the Romulan ships entered high orbit around Betazed did the Federation request withdrawal. They were not ready to give up a founding member Homeworld. The statement had been made. Suran continues to prove the Star Empire is for real.

This appears to. Be a Romulan victory and is being covered as such by FBN. Only OWN is covering the truth. Christine T'Nley used her editorial to show this is a victory for the Federation. The Betazoid Alliance was destroyed. Betazed is once again dependent on the Federation for security. The expanding King's Fleet was dismantled by the devastation of losing ships and two stations. The sub fleet is embarrassed by the horrid leadership of Resigned Admiral Nicole Branson. Colonists in the region will now look to the a Federation for safety and security and not to the King's a Fleet.

The leadership of the King's Fleet had been beyond reproach seeing all three members of the leadership of the triumvirate head Starfleet. Many in the Starfleet admiralty hated the influence peddled by the small fleet. Those questions were cleared up in the Romulan assault. Belvedere Brown resigned. Nicole Branson was exposed as a joke. Vincent Viceroy's leadership will forever be questioned. He has now overseen the end of the Betazoid Alliance,

The Federation had begun to fear the momentum of the Beta Zeta Sector and the Olive Branch and stood idly by as the rival upstart and growing diplomatic service was destroyed by the Romulans. The colonies of Darona and Medara are left either totally destroyed like Darona and Delavan or left in ruins like Medara and the potential rival for Alpha Quadrant democracies is little more than a whimper in history now.

There is simply no friends left in the region. The Romulans have everything on edge. The failure of the Betazoid Alliance and the King's Fleet leaves much to see in the fallout.

Can anyone or anything survive?
