Tania should have went back to the Tanmesad. It was her command and if this was the last day of all existence, she should be there.
The truth is that despite rank and designation, this was Vash's ship. Tania had the position and rank because of the problems of the past but the Cardassian Galor would never be her ship.
Tania sipped on the drink in Ishka's. somehow it seemed weird having a drink in the bar of the harbinger of the apocalypse. Tania thought of Captain Ivan Younger and USS Yellowstone. She had not thought of a man like that in a long time. The visit from the Bzzit Khakt fighter had stirred some old feelings thought long dormant.
Tania thought of Nicole and Nancy, her children. Sadly Nancy was no longer with us. She was in some ways at the advantage. She did not have to dal with the tensions that came in slowing the Covenant reaction.
Tania was so proud of Nicole. She had risen all the way to president of the United Federation of Planets. Once there, she threw it all away to prevent the very danger faced by the universe today. To give up the Presidency for the good of all made Tania even more proud of her offspring.
Tania sipped on her drink and thought of Brenna, Mac and Francine, her grandchildren regardless of biology. They were blossoming into such fine young people. Tania thought about the universe would be deprived of if these children were lost today.
Tania thought of Bethany Montgomery. The you g lady had been taken in by Nicole despite who her father was. Bethany had grown up so much. She was in command of the Archangel now. She had overcome her heritage and basically adopted Nicole as a mother. Tania even saw the young lady as a grandchild. It is so sad that Bethany may have enjoyed this growth to see it all fall by the wayside.
Tania finished her drink and went up to Admiral viceroy's quarters. She slowly touched the door chime. If anyone could understand her situation, it was Vincent.
Vincent calmly activated the door.
Tania slowly lifted her shirt to reveal her nippleless chest. She stood there. Vincent had just been reading about the reconciliation of Tan and Summer in the logs. He looked at Tania, "Are you sure?"
The Borg Disconnect looked at Admiral Viceroy, "If this is the end, I don't want be alone."
Vincent closed the door, "No one does."
