Tyran literally threw herself at Paul. She was laying on his bed naked when Paul returned from the Tyranny bridge. Paul should have turned away. He had something special with Tanus.
He could be himself. He could dress in others clothing. He saw the goddess from Gorn and thought his father and what he wanted for him. He thought of what the expectations for a fine young officer should be.
Paul and Lady Tyran were suddenly a couple and out in public. He was sitting in Leo's when Christine proposed the theory that Lady Tyran is using the young man to get to Tanus.
The public appearances have been murder for the Gorn. He has lost his partner in Paul, his potential partner in Lady Tyran. Tanus has returned to sulking. He has been so sullen since losing the marine command to Zoe Beamon.
Tanus was walking into Leo's as the pair were walking out.
