Hawkins Wayne had grown jealous of all the attention being paid to Drag and Tanus of the Gorn. Their bitter feud over the breadth of their masculinity was just stupid and garnering all the attention of the colony. If it was not Drag bragging about bending over Commander T'Zohl, it was Tanus and Teshra parading around with pictures of each other in their underwear.
Hawkins and Caldwell did not see eye to eye. Caldwell Wayne was a braggart and an outright liar as he told stories of his service with General John Wayne and the Hawks of Hell. However, Caldwell was another Talosian Birdman to live on the colony. With more inhabitants of the former Iconian occupied planet of Talos V, it would allow for a greater influence in the King's Fleet marines and in the King's Fleet as a whole.
Things were easier when Nicole Branson fancied one of the bird ladies but since she had gone back to the swine of the Tellarite worlds, the Talosians had lost some of their influence. General Caldwell Wayne arrived without much fanfare and was told he would not be permitted to keep the rank of General. The Talosian almost left right there.
Hawkins did manage to convince him to stay. Caldwell had heard of the so-called "Man-off" between Drag and Tanus and chuckled at the thought of two Gorn trying to prove their manhood given their infamous reputation. Caldwell was then told of the activities of the mercenary pilot Petrine Polley and the fighter repair jockey Patrick Hatherton. Caldwell was not impressed. He told Petrine that if the Talosians were going to be given the same respect as the Gorn and the humans that he needed to end his relationship with Patrick Hatherton; something the Hathertons themselves would not mind, I am sure.
Petrine listened to Colonel Hawkins and then went to speak with Patrick. Patrick told Petrine that he had reserved them time in the Ishka holo suites; time which was not refundable. He had used a lot of credits from his service to the shuttle and fighter fleets to get the time. Patrick told Petrine, "Just this one last time."
Petrine knew Patrick was just using the holo suite time to get them together but reluctantly agreed. He knew that Patrick loved to work on cars and believed this was his plan. The human would travel to some distant time in Earth's past and he would pick a classic racer to work on. Petrine remembered a special time when he found Patrick in a particularly revealing racing suit. Petrine had to leave to contain his excitement.
Petrine informed Colonel Caldwell Wayne that he had planned to end the relationship during the holo suite session. Caldwell was pleased, "Thank you, Pilot Petrine."
Petrine went down to Ishka's on the surface to meet with Patrick. The Ferengi directed him to the holo suite floor of his casino. Petrine called for the arch and entered the fantasy created by Patrick Hatherton.
Patrick leaned on the Earth vehicle and winked at Petrine, "I thought you could drive me in the country... I mean take me for a drive in the countryside."
Petrine watched as the leggy engineer got into the car. He got into the driver's seat and felt the experience of driving a human car for the first time in a long time. They drove through the gorgeous sun setting countryside. Petrine saw a shady tree and parked the gorgeous car in the shade. He leaned over towards Patrick who leaned in and kissed him on the beak. Patrick grabbed the second stick between the legs of her pilot friend.
Like the Gorn, given their links to the origin of their species, the Birds of Talos V have not been blessed with the largest of appendages. They are designed for the pleasure of other Birds of Talos V and not to fill the larger opening of species with primates at their origin. Petrine thought the rear opening of the fleet maintenance engineer fit his manhood perfectly. He bent Patrick over the hood of the gorgeous car, lifted his little cross dressing skirt and he drove his friend for all that he was worth. Patrick loved it. Petrine loved it.
Petrine was walking into the fighter bay when he saw Colonel Caldwell Wayne standing with the Fighter Squadron superior officer Colonel Tracklerca of the Bzzit Khakt. Caldwell looked at Petrine, "Did you do it?"
"If by it, you mean, did I do Patrick Hatherton.", Petrine mocked, "Then yes, I did the engineer under a maple tree in a beautiful country meadow and it was amazing."
Caldwell was furious. Petrine could see the smoke coming out of his ears so the smug pilot winked, "And I plan to do it again."
Petrine walked towards his fighter. Caldwell left in a huff.
