Erica looked at Commander T'Ros as the beautiful Romulan sat at the head of the conference room. Ms. Lavigne had selected the Romulan to act as adjudicator because she lacked loyalty to the UFP or PF as a Romulan inhabitant on the colony. She knew that T'Ros did not really care for Branson or Viceroy.
Erica began, "Dr. Magenta Coren-Branson entered into a binding verbal contract to provide command of the USS Princess Diana to a Tamarian. This contract should be honored and in addition to the injunction, the Tamarian representative should be given the option to staff the command of the Diana."
Erica brought up a bunch of documents on PADDs and then played the video from her Tokyo Office. The truth was plainly evident. Dr. Magenta Coren-Branson did promise the command.
Nicole looked at Vincent, "What are we gonna do?"
Vincent shrugged. The evidence was pretty clear.
T'Ros looked at Vincent and Nicole, "Do you have anything to say?"
Vincent stood up, "Dr. Meadow Coren is in command of the USS Princess Diana. This decision was made by the Phoenix Fleet Military Commander in Chief on the colony. This is in accordance with his authority."
Nicole smiled. Vincent had a gift for these things.
"Your honor.", Erica stood up.
"I appreciate the sentiment, Ms. Lavigne but I would prefer to be addressed as Commander T'Ros.", T'Ros responded.
"Rear Admiral Viceroy made the decision without knowledge of the agreement between the Tokyo Representative and Dr. Coren-Branson.", Erica explained.
T'Ros looked at Erica and then at the documentation she had provided. The Romulan stood up, "I agree that Ms. Lavigne and Dr. Coren-Branson entered into a verbal agreement. These facts are clear in evidence. Ms. Lavigne did believe she was being given the right to select a Tamarian to command the Princess Diana."
Erica turned to Vincent and Nicole and glared in a gloatful way.
"The problem, Ms. Lavigne is the Faculty of Science Department Head and Dr. Yang Liwei Institute Curator lacks the authority to offer such a command. No where in the Phoenix Federation Colony Charter does it provide for the Chief Science Officer to offer a command to anyone. Dr. Coren-Branson lacked the authority to give the command. The only persons on the colony authorized to provide a command is the TGCO, Captain John Warren or the the Phoenix Fleet Regional Commander, Rear Admiral Vincent Viceroy.", T'Ros explained.
"It is the decision of this tribunal that Captain Meadow Coren has the right to command and all rights and privileges therein.", T'Ros explained.
Erica stormed from the room. The Tamarians and Tokyo were embarrassed by the result.
Nicole looked at Vincent, "Thank you."
Vincent turned to Magenta, "Don't ever do that again."
Magenta bowed her head, "Yes, sir."
Nicole looked at Vincent, "Don't worry, I will be sure to punish her."
Magenta giggled as the pair headed from the Federation Complex.
