So let me get this straight. A colony so poorly managed that it recently fell under Klingon control without a single shot being fired is now looking to expand. A colony defended by a Sovereign built in the 2370s for a lunatic captain who now commands the defence force for the colony is now looking expand its fleet with a Miranda, old technology and furthermore put the Eagle under the command of Cardassian, an old man.
I don't know why I should be surprised. A colony that has a homosexual marine commander, an exile for a task group commander, a barbie doll for a governor, a living pig man for a station command would select a mere child in the world of exploration; this Jason Morris to command a task group.
Hysterically, the task group will be called Hellraisers. The only hell raised around here is because of the incompetence of our leadership. The president is prone to go off half cocked, to make deals with his Romulan and to plunge the colony back into war. The governor is so naive and literally stupid that her biggest achievement since returning to the roll of governor is being seen necking with her wife on two seperate occasions. Just the type of leadership that will set the colony apart from countless others trying to make a name for themselves.
As the colony prepares to launch three ships deep into the Beta Quadrant, there is one last comment to get off my chest. I feel for these boys and girls about to head out on suicide mission believing they have the support of a great Federation, great leadership and a great colony. In fact, the leadership of the Federation is suspect at best.
The leadership of the colony is simply incompetent. The leadership of the Phoenix Defence League is questionable and now the task group in the hands of Captain Jason Morris is the great unknown...
To set the record straight, god do I hope these people know what they are in for.
