Commander T'tan has been a lot of things on the colony. After being exiled from Vulcan, she helped build a great Academy here. She stood against Emperor V'Ros in the formation of the Villa and became a voice of reason for all of Vulcan. The Commander defender her city with great honor and reached out to the locals; the first colonist to do so.
T'tan earned much criticism for her relationship with the tribal chief Tokken of the Togre and for what she gave him in order to get his cooperation. Many thought the relationship would not last beyond to liberation of the Villa but they stand together to this day.
The sighting have peaked new interest in Togre Culture. The giant apes are something the colony scientific community has longed for. There has been so much tension of late that the original role of colonization; science and exploration has fallen to defence and survival. Many scientists have looked for the opportunity to name the tribal creatures.
They appear to have intelligence in the rare sights thus far. Like the Togre, the great apes, dubbed Gigantopythicus H'Atoria by the Klingon scientific community have been able to fight and kill an armed Klingon. They have also been able to capture and even fire Klingon weapons. This new danger, knowing the great apes have weapons sparked a need for protection.
The colonists brought out the apes from their tribal hiding places with the great Omega Explosion at Kalama. Now they must deal with the consequences. The colonists disturbed their quiet and peaceful ways by rummaging around the Togre Reservation in search of the Chalice of Kahless.
Vincent, Belvedere and Nicole knew the risks. There was no way of assessing the numbers of the Great Apes. They needed to speak to Tokken. The tribal leader was still embarrassed and felt a great hatred for how his people had been treated since the colony government has arrived. He refused to speak with the military on the colony.
Nicole literally begged the chief to speak to her. Tokken refused but agreed to an audience with his queen. Nicole knew that he meant that she could speak to Commander T'tan. Nicole, Vincent and Bell were used to seeing the Vulcan in a black dress or in a Phoenix Fleet Uniform as Judge Advocate General. Nothing could have prepared them to enter the keep of Tokken deep in Togre territory. T'tan sat on a throne. Tokken stood behind her.
The Vulcan wore nothing but a bra top and very small coverage on her groin. She wore traditional tribal garb.
Nicole looked at T'tan, "Commander, we need to know about the Great Apes? We need to know their numbers? their intentions? and whether or not we should fear them."
Tokken stepped forward, "You will address her as Queen, your grace or your majesty."
Vincent scoffed, "I am not doing that."
The Commodore walked from the room. He had little patience for the Vulcan or any Vulcan after the horrors of only 2 years ago. Bell followed him out of the room.
Nicole knelt down to one knee, "Your grace, we need to know about the Great Apes? We need to know their numbers? their intentions? and whether or not we should fear them."
T'tan smiled and then turned back to Tokken and gave the Tribal chieftan a similar nod, "The apes are very intelligent. They have a language like the Togre. They are dangerous as they have been disturbed. They speak through a tribal leader like the Togre. You will need to find him and make peace or they will continue to organize their braves and they will begin to attack not only Kalama but other cities. The Togre and the Apes have a peace. You will need to achieve peace with the Great Apes."
"Do you know their chieftan?", Nicole asked.
Tokken looked at T'tan, "Enough has been said."
T'tan stood up and walked back and stood next to Tokken, "You have to go Nicole."
"Thank you, Commander. I mean, thank you, your majesty.", Nicole bowed and back from the chamber.
