Eugenio was playing with Brenna in the living room. He was wrestling with the 13 year old. Brenna was giggling and laughing. Elizabeth, Lassie and Nicole were putting the food on the table. Elizabeth had proposed the meeting to try to get past the recent tensions.
Tensions does not really begin to describe providing the schedule of the Chancellor to the Klingons to allow her to be kidnapped and forced to endure the tremendous torture of the barbed wire tunnel.
Lavender actually told Nicole that she did not have to do it. Nicole agreed for Brenna. Nicole peaked around the corner to find Eugenio hold down Brenna. Brenna screamed out, "Grandpa!"
Nicole smiled, "Supper is served."
The family enjoyed a wonderful spread. Nicole looked at Elizabeth, "You and Eugenio are welcome to spend the night. There are additional quarters here."
"I would love to. I will take my granddaughter to school in the morning.", Eugenio giggled.
The two couples shared a nice glass of wine. Nicole looked at Lavender, "I have a lot of work to do tomorrow. I think I will turn in."
"I will join you.", Lavender kissed her mother.
"Brenna come say good night and then get your little butt to bed.", Lavender ordered.
Brenna was in the room for a fair bit. Elizabeth could hear the family giggling. She hated that Lavender was with Nicole. She had a deep fear that it would lead to something tragic. History dictates such, but the giggles would warm even the coldest heart.
Elizabeth looked at Eugenio as Brenna came running down the hallway holding a large black felt pen. Elizabeth spoke, "Eugenio, I have to go see."
"This is their family time.", Eugenio told his wife, "Go to sleep."
"I have to see what she was up to.", Elizabeth crawled out of bed. She was still stunning for her age. Eugenio was a lucky man.
Elizabeth walked down to Lavender and Nicole's room. A room that had been shared by Orchid Coren, her niece and Nicole and Magenta Coren, her daughter and Nicole. She peaked into the room. What the heck had Brenna done?
Lavender and Nicole were in a deep embrace. Elizabeth teared up as she read the word written on each of the girl's arm...
LOVE
Elizabeth only wanted the best for her daughter. Perhaps this was it.
