To disgrace a politician is rarely a treat for a journalist. Often those in the mainstream populace and even those students whom I addressed at the Omega Academy yesterday believe that it is the goal of a journalist to tear down someone, anyone who has authority. I tell you all I take no pleasure in pointing out the flaws in others. I only report on the news, watch it and analyze it.
Ok, as a subplot, I take great pleasure in pointing out the flaws with Vice Admiral Branson. She is an idiot and it is time you all realized that. She invited the Romulans here. Never forget that; it was her brilliant idea to invite everyone to Admiral Veltkamp's "Home" including known enemies of the Federation. What have the Romulans brought us? An Omega Incident that nearly burned up the planet twice. An ice age brought to put out the Omega Fires killing 20000 people. Never forget that. 20000 people died. It is a holocaust that should be hung on the Lesbian Art Student but oh no, she remains a hero to her people. How can that be?
The Romulans brought their internal politics to the planet trying to remove Commander T'Ros from command of Vorta' Rome. We had a full fledged Romulan Civil Conflict in our midst. Shuttle travel between Wells City and Omega Prime was often disrupted by torpedo fire; and we are trying to recruit retirees. Nice image for poor Commodore Davenport to use as a recruiting tool Worse yet, Branson has the nerve to call Davenport in to complain that no one is filling her condos. Guess why, Nikki. Guess why?
Now we have learned that she has invited Lisa Leffler to the colony with his infamous Borg Disruptor wave. Yahoo.... A weapon wereby operatives have to be on the ground to point the wave at the Borg. Highly effective against a cube. Oh wait, that would be outside in space... WHERE YOU CAN'T BREATH. Brilliant. In a dog fight with a cube, we will put people in suits on the outside of a ship and have them point a primitive wavelength dish at a cube. Like anyone would volunteer for that.
Do you know why Lisa Leffler is teaching at the academy? Because no star ship captain would have her. She is a worse flaming queen than Nicole. Her own father reported her behavior to Star Fleet. She has even been to Risa deprogramming camps to restore her understanding of copulation for reproduction in humans. Lisa is an outcast and what better place for an outcast than here... We will take anyone.
General Jean-Michel Robespierre... We know you sold out the colony at Antican B7 to the Borg. We know you did it. As a matter of fact, you brag about it like it is some sort of accomplishment. I thought the Borg was going to install you as the new Governor and I thought there would be no devastation. Guess what Jean-Michel, the Quasar Quest was just there. There is nothing left. The Borg saw to that. Well Done. Now you claim that the Borg will come here, to the so-called Battleground and wipe out the Federation leadership and install you in our cities. Sorry, General. I would take an ill-prepared, idiotic Lesbian Art Student over a dictatorial sexual predator who sold out his people to the Borg anyday.
Just so we understand each other and so everyone understands the ONN. We do not support the actions of Governor Nicole Branson. We do not see her as a leader or for that matter competent in any government activity however we support the role of Governor, we support the role of the Federation on the Colony and we will defend this colony with all our will and honor. Take up arms, General Robespierre, even if you ally with the Borg and you will know something other than the Fires of Omega. Be clear about that. We know who you are, what you are and the Phoenix Colony will be "rat-free"...
