Nicole listened as Elizabeth announced that The King's Fleet would have to move its headquarters to Governor's Station. She flatly stated that she did not want King's Fleet personnel to be involved in the day to day decisions of the civilian government of Ephyra. Vincent is gonna be pissed off.
Elizabeth looked at Nicole and asked her to resign as Mayor of Ephyra City. Nicole started laughing and stormed from the conference room.
Nicole went home, ran a nice bath and poured a glass of wine. She was in her robe when a knock came at the door. She went out to find Lt. Colonel Bullerton Brown and Colonel Zoe Beamon at the door.
"To what do I owe this honor?", Nicole looked at them.
"The citizens of Athens are not supportive of the current governor and support your maintenance of the role of Mayor of Ephyra City.", Bull looked at Nicole.
"I appreciate that, Bull.", Nicole had helped raise the boy.
"As far as the Anticans are concerned, Elizabeth is not the governor. Something else is going on here.", Bull warned.
Nicole peaked at the observation but let it slid. What was going on here?
"I just thought you should know.", Bull stood up.
"Thank you and thank you Colonel for stopping by.", Nicole looked at Zoe.
"It is good to see you too.", Zoe looked at Nicole still in her robe. She did not just glance... She LOOKED at Nicole.
Nicole could sense it. Zoe and Bull left for Athens.
