Vincent was on Lt. Governor's raising a toast when he heard from Captain John Warren that the Klingons had accepted the terms of withdrawal from the Cardassian Unions and would be heading home. Vincent smiled as John announced that 15 Birds of Prey and their support ships had begun to head back towards the Klingon protected territories in the Alpha Trianguli Trade Route.
Vincent walked into his ready room smiling. Zoe followed closely behind, "Doesn't it seem too easy?"
"What?", Vincent asked.
"The Klingons just withdrawing is not in their nature.", Zoe responded.
"You are just missing the front, Zoe. You are overreacting. General Kabarann saw this as unwinnable and retreated for another try.", Admiral Viceroy responded.
Commander T'Zohl looked back at John, "Why are the ship's linking their flight plan?"
Captain Warren responded, "The only reason to link the flight plans is for a squadron style attack run. Why would they do that in retreat? There is nothing on the route back except for Ephyra."
"Dear god!", John exclaimed.
"This is not a retreat, its an attack on the colony. Inform the Governor and Admiral Viceroy immediately.", John ordered.
The next 77 hours will forever be known as Kabarann Khaos. General Hon'Tihl Kabarann has had a long and standing feud with Nicole Branson and Vincent Viceroy. She was given colony rights on the Omega Planet and used that authority to gain the role of Governor and to occupy the colony only to be driven out by force. Since that time, she has longed for revenge.
Today, she has that revenge. In December 2391, the Klingon General attacked and is now in full occupatoin of Ephyra-Klingon. The military government is now formally established.
The whereabouts of Governor Nicole Branson and Admiral Vincent Viceroy remain unknown.
