After learning that Nicole Branson had engaged in carnal relations with Betazoid Marine Commander Autumn Laree, D'Tall was whipped into a frenzy. She did not like losing at the best of times but losing to a Betazoid and worse yet to a Sniper drove the former Dragon turned Dog of War into a furor.
She went out to Ephyra City with something devlish in mind. She was a marine. She was not about to lose at anything and worse yet, she was not about to lose to a Betazoid in this great time of chaos. The Betazoid Alliance had scored too many victories over the Ephrya Colony lately.
Nicole had been with Vash all day trying to broker some sort of meeting between Illyan Coren and Alexander Laree. A fractured Betazoid Alliance was very dangerous for everyone. It may be just the opening necessary for Legate Anwar and his Cardassian Union to make a play for the Phoenix Moon.
Nicole was surprised to see Colby, Brenna and Mac playing in the yard. She looked at Brenna, "Shouldn't you be in the house?"
"Mommy D'Tall asked us to stay outside until she had a chance to talk to you.", Brenna announced.
"I asked you not to call her that.", Nicole looked at Brenna. It was so hard for the children to understand the failures of her relationships.
Nicole went inside, "Dee, I asked you not to come back."
There was no answer. Nicole stomped upstairs growing more angry with each step. She was furious that D'Tall had entered their home with her children there.
She was startled to find the Orion in one of her TOO TINY sweaters and one of her skirts far too undersized for the marine.
D'Tall looked at Nicole, "You think I was going to sit idly by and lose you to a Sniper."
"I am a Stinger now. I am not about to let a Betazoid steal what is mine!", D'Tall ordered.
"I am not yours. I am nobody's. I was vulnerable and so was Autumn. We had sex. Maybe there is something to that.", Nicole snapped.
"I was vulnerable. I was crazed by hormone rage when I had sex with Zoe Beamon. There is NOTHING to that. I want you Nicole. I want what we had before the Betazoid Alliance wrecked everything. I love the smell of your body. I love everything about you.", D'Tall sniffed the tiny sweater that barely covered her breasts.
"What we once had is lost forever. You betrayed me. You broke my heart.", Nicole started to sob.
"Don't you start crying. I was manipulated. I never went to Governor's Station to f**k the Apocalypse CO.", D'Tall shouted.
Nicole suddenly felt stupid. D'Tall was right. Elizabeth had sought to break down Nicole and Tania Branson. She had done so. And one more thing, damn did D'Tall look fine in that tight, tight sweater.
Nicole thought about seeing her on the park bench earlier in the week and the moment of weakness they shared. She thought about how the spark seemed to be gone in that lovemaking session. There was no passion because all Nicole could think about was the betrayal.
In this moment, all she could think about was how her tiny skirt barely covered, if at all, the wonderous green opening that would drive her wild. Nicole had not felt this spark around D'Tall since prior to the betrayal. She felt warm inside knowing that suddenly there was a romance there again.
She leaned in and kissed D'Tall deeply on the mouth. The pilot too was overjoyed with the kiss. They were together again and that was very special to her.
Nicole and D'Tall came downstairs together about 35 minutes after Nicole disappeared upstairs to confront her green mate. Brenna walked in, "Did you guys get it all fixed up?"
D'Tall looked at Brenna, "Yes, Little Bee, Mommy Dee is staying again."
Brenna ran over and gave both women a big hug.
Nicole knew right there and then that it was the right thing to do.
