With Colonel Teero restoring power to large blocks of the Ephyra systems through his steam engines and with the establishment of a power source for Governor's Tower, the polymer tether between the station and the surface, at least the crews could get down to Ephyra. No ships were yet functional, but hopefully soon.
The colony was very cold without the residual heat from the systems. Many replicator systems were not working very well. Steam power was not nearly so consistent as the plasma technology of 2392. People had reverted to using cotton and layers of clothing for warmth and fashion. Old time skills like the seamstress skills were suddenly more important. A replicator may not be able to generate enough power to build an outfit, or worse it it did, there woul not be enough steam to produce food for hours after, but it could produce cotton in sheets.
Suddenly, cotton dresses and clothing were very common. The traditional uniforms of Captain James T. Kirk and the original explorers of the Enterprise were suddenly more common than the synthetics that people came to expect from the King's Fleet. In some ways, it was retro-cool.
Felicity Powers wanted to bring some semblance of order out of the Blizzard and used the Leo's restaurant to host a gala event. The event was incredible with the room lit by candlelights in countless candleabras. The venting steam from the power sources for the modern systems was everywhere.
Nicole was very proud of her yellow cotton dress. She had made it herself. She and the girls had stitched every stitch. She had not had an opportunity to make a splash at a gala event since she wore a flame emblazzened dress to a gala on the Phoenix Colony. She stood in the entry way of her suburban house, "Come on, Tiger. We gotta go."
She was very excited to show off her creation.
Dr. Tegora Vasa, the Betazoid who came to Ephyra to work with Colonel Acrylos Teero. She had become an honorary Bajoran teaching physics at Starfleet East. She and Acrylos had a brief fling before her fascination with Nicole Branson began after Nicole's heart was broken by Olivia Pan'Taar.
Tegora came out. Nicole's jaw dropped at the gorgeous Betazed.
Brenna looked at Tegora, "Mommy T, you look awesome."
Nicole looked at Tiger, grabbing her right ass cheek, "Damn straight, you do."
Maybe the Blizzard won't be so bad after all.
