"Congratulations, Nicole.", Skye looked at Nicole and then gave her a hug. The truth is that despite their battles and there are many, (Nicole and Dr. Greene ran against each other in two elections on the Omega Colony) Skylight did respect Nicole and what she has been able to accomplish over the last 8 years.
Monica had just received her pips to become a full fledged Lieutenant. She looked over and saw the hug. She was immediately jealous. She knew that Nicole and Skye had a previous romance.
She walked and glared at Nicole, "You do that and I got you roses. Screw you, Nicole."
She turned to walk away but Nicole grabbed her by the arm, "It was a congratulations. What we share is something very different. Please don't misconstrue things."
Monica smiled, "So its doctor eh?"
"Yes, Lieutenant.", Nicole grinned ear to ear.
"Wanna go home and play doctor.", Monica grinned.
