The Columbia Fleet rebels see Nicole Branson as the center of the Cheron VI and the citizens of Camelot. They set out to destroy Branson right from the start. They wanted to take her DNA for Emma Crosby and they wanted to take the DNA from Vice Admiral John Warren to provide a rebirth of Captain Christopher Crosby and his Columbia Fleet rebellion.
When Branson survived, the rebels needed to take the next step. Emma, now restored to speech, has done a bunch of research on the Porcus Potentia and believes that Branson was rescued because she was bound to Athena Prang'Laar. Emma informed the rebels, "The target is simple. Kill Athena Prang'Laar."
Emma believed that the result would be simple. Without the host of the binding ancient magic, Nicole Branson will die.
The Prang'Laar family has lost so much. Dr. Peneleaus Prang'Laar came here to Camelot to have a new start. The Pan'Taar family has lost three girls and a son to this place. The Tellarites wanted to be reestablished by associating with the King's Fleet. They have notoriety again but at what price.
On April 19, 2393, Columbia rebels shot and killed Athena Prang'Laar. Emma was overjoyed and believed it was only a matter of time before Nicole Branson before would soon start to die. The rebels were monitoring her condition.
Emma was soon furious to see Nicole attending a gala hosted by Saehir Marrus and Admiral Deveniss. Why was this occurring? She should be dead by now. Emma demanded to know why this had not resulted in the death of Nicole Branson. She demanded that Columbia Fleet rebels discover why Branson was still alive.
Emma was trying to come to understand the ancient magic associated with the Porcus Potentia. The ancient medicine magic of the Tellarites has long been discredited as a reality and the binding spell is one of the most often discredited forms of the ancient magic.
Emma was standing in the library at the Omega Academy when one of her agents came up to her, "Emma, we believe the reason that the death of Athena Prang'Laar did not affect the DNA of Nicole Branson is her DNA is bound to another by the spell."
Emma looked at her, "Who??"
The agent looked at Crosby, "You."
"Don't be a fool. The Porcus Potentia binds the spell by love. I am not in love with Branson.", Emma laughed.
"Emma, when you got your speech back, you were overjoyed. It is not the love your thinking of. It is the love of the gift that was provided to you.", the Agent responded.
"There is a way to get Branson.", Captain Christopher Crosby walked out, his voice restored by a life he took here on Camelot; maybe not the John Warren he wanted but a life no less.
"We can restore your Tacet Syndrome and it will remove the link to Branson and Branson will die.", Christopher looked at his daughter.
"And I will be without speech.", Emma looked at her father.
"Anything for the cause.", Christopher looked at Emma.
"Not that.", Emma stormed out.
Emma stood out on the campus and looked up at the stars. She thought about the Romulans. She thought about her time in silence.
She could not help but wonder....
How the hell can she be in love with Branson?
