Vedek Ro Arroe delivered a beautiful speech in the courtyard of the Observatory about love, endearing the test of time and about forgiveness. The speech inspired Christine T'Nley to write and then broadcast a brutal editorial about the Tellarite population and the use of Liberty Gral to keep the population voting for Nicole Branson.
Christine launched into an expose about Libby and Nicole being in this together and about it being the only way that Nicole would take Libby back after the death of Lolli Gral. Christine claimed that their relationship was only for political reasons. She was good at this. This was her forte.
Christine got big ratings for her expose. The fans loved to see her go hard after Nicole. Christine had had a tough time with the split from Deveniss over her big mouth. It was good to embrace her job once more.
Christine learned that Nicole and Libby would be at Independence Point. She really wanted to stick a microphone in her face for OWN to get her comment on the story. Libby had heard the editorial. She was embarrassed for Nicole.
Nicole told Libby not to worry about it. She had been dealing Christine T'Nley for nearly 6 years. Libby told Nicole that Christine had to be shown that they were a couple once more. Christine had to be shown what losing Lolli meant to Libby and the Gral family. Nicole tried to convince Libby not to worry about it.
Nicole was standing on the beach when Christine showed up with the camera and shoved a microphone in her face.
"Governor Branson, how do you respond to the rumors that your relationship with Liberty Gral is nothing more than a sham?", Christine smiled. She believed that she had cornered Nicole. She knew that Nicole would not dignify her with an answer and then Christine could use the inactivity to continue to fuel her editorials.
"No comment.", Nicole smiled.
Christine smiled. She could read Nicole like a book. She had her sound bite. Christine should have left well enough alone, "And where is your sweet lover?"
"Right here.", Libby came walking up naked.
Nicole was shocked. She looked at Libby. Libby walked in close. Nicole could see the camera rolling. She tried to cover Libby's breast but instead her arm caught her sun dress exposing her blue undergarments.
Christine dropped the microphone, "Damn it!"
She knew she should have just left right after the Branson comment. Her mouth had gotten her into trouble with Deveniss and now with Branson.
Christine stormed away.
