The colonies have seen little news lately. Anthony Viceroy and Annie Branson are hardly news here. Perhaps on FBN, it is a bigger concern for the Commodore and the student but here in the progressive colonies, it has caused very few to even bat an eye. Some people like a little meat on the bones. There is nothing wrong with that.
Christine was still working slowly to try to rebuild her relationship with Admiral Deveniss but the former Station Commander has done little more than sulk since the tragic death of his daughter Holliss of Selay aboard the USS Black Orchid II.
Christine had been looking for something to help pass the time on her nightly editorial and had been struggling to find anything to talk about. Even the selection of Whisper Coren to command the Observatory is hardly news now that Illyan is behaving a lot more professionally as President of the Olive Branch.
Christine was grasping at straws when she stopped at the James Kirk Elementary on the planet surface and stopped Mackenzie Smythe. There is very little professionalism in asking a child but T'Nley looked at Mac, "Do you have any pictures of your moms?"
Mac showed many images of his mother, Governor Nicole Branson and his adoptive mother First Lady Libby Gral. Christine swallowed hard, having difficulty even bringing herself to ask the question, "Do you have any pictures of your moms when they are more casual, just relaxing around the house?"
Nicole has had many conversations with Brenna and Francine about what they should be sharing about life in their house but she never thought she would have to have the same conversation with Mac about what he should be showing others.
Mac showed Christine a pictures of his moms on the couch on Sunday morning.
The image almost immediately became a conversation starter throughout Darona and Medara. Was it inappropriate that a young boy had such pictures of his mothers?
