Emperor V'Roi came down hard on Captain Warren for refusing to reprimand Commander Paul Warren after the USS Plato's Academy commanding officer was caught in his quarters with the Vulcan V'Ohlet unclothed.
John tried to insist that the scene was both a mistake and also truly innocent. Neither Paul knew she was there nor did V'Ohlet know his led style choice.
V'Roi would have known of it asking for John to not only be removed as King's Fleet Task Force Commander but also from command of the Quest. John was devastated by the request. He could live without the headache of the other vessels but he loved the Quest. He lived for his ship.
John begged Vincent, V'Roi and Field Marshal Brown for his command. John was almost in tears when he asked what he had to do to keep his command. V'Roi put it bluntly. If John wanted to keep the Quest, he had to prove that Paul was a homosexual and not interested in V'Ohlet.
John was deeply hurt because his sons had not lived up to his macho model. John did not want to do it but he opened Commander Paul Warren's personal log. John laid the log on the table.
Vincent knew how painful it was for John to share the image of the son who had just returned into his life dressed this way. Vincent looked at the old Vulcan, "I have seen enough."
V'Roi looked at Vincent and John, "I have seen your deception before."
John threw up his hands in disgust, "You just want my command."
Paul entered the conference, "Please Admiral I have no interest in defiling your daughter."
V'Roi looked at Paul, "I believe you are simply protecting your father."
"No one would do this simply to protect a career.", Vincent spun the PADD around so that V'Roi could take a second look at Paul dressed as a woman.
Major Tanus of Gorn came into the session. He walked over to Paul and kissed him on the cheek. Paul had never even met the recently disgraced former marine commander but was exhilarated by the kiss. He looked at Tanus and put his hand around the Gorn. V'Roi glared at John. He knew about Major Tanus' history with Field Marshal Belvedere Brown. He knew that Beown would now be swayed.
V'Roi wanted John and Paul to both be gone. Now he was going to be stuck with both.
