Acrylos had the unenviable task of announce to Dr. Xact Tchilack that the King's Fleet had negotiated the return of the Sao Gabriel to the Vulcan Council in a show of good will. Dr. Tegora Vasa accused Colonel Teero of doing this out of spite because of their failed relationship.
Commander Humphrey Balok accused the Bajoran of trying to eliminate him as a rival and left the King's Fleet for Starfleet claiming that Colonel Teero had a biased against "little people" and did not like the fact that he and Dr. Tchilack had achieved the wormhole mapping successes in the last two year. He took the Sao Gabriel out of spite.
Both were very far from the truth. Acrylos wanted to cry on someone's shoulder. He contacted Francine Prang'Laar but she was away with assisting the crew of the Lindsay. Acrylos was left alone in his depression. He never meant to hurt anyone.
Acrylos had gone over the Qach to try to find Francine. Much like the situation where Francine had taken advantage when Jenna was working with children, Jenna was there when Francine was not. Jenna looked at Acrylos. She knew that the Bajoran had betrayed her with the Tellarite. She should have driven him out but she simply told him the truth. Francine had gone to the Lindsay to deal with an infectious agent that the vessel had come into contact. Jenna had been with Acrylos long enough to know that he was hurting.
After he left, a review of the logs quickly showed the pain he had caused by reassigning the Sao Gabriel to the Vulcan Service. She also learned of the outrage felt by Dr. Tegora Vasa blaming Acrylos for trying to bring down Dr. Xact Tchilack. She knew that Acrylos valued his popularity amongst the citizens and amongst the service men and women.
She knew how sad he felt. She did not just want to be the other woman. She did not just want to be someone that the Bajoran might chose for a "booty call". She knew about Thandie Varno and Francine Prang'Laar. She should have just continued to work on her regular duties at the ropyaH Qach but she still felt something for Acrylos.
She went to see the Bajoran.
Acrylos was stunned to see the Antican beauty and even more stunned when she raised her tail to reveal no underwear. It was nice to be loved by someone, anyone.
