Andorian coupling has often been difficult for the conservative Federation culture to understand and often sets them apart in social situations. Andorians typically pair bound in groups of four with two aggressive partners and two passive partners often exchanging partners over the course of their bonds. To Andorians, the concept of monogamy is the foreign one.
Andorians have tried to assimilate into the Federation expectations and have often struggled with monogamy. Teshra Trmel is an example. Pasha Trmel did not enjoy the male contact in her Andorian bonds and split to form a passive relationship with Toni Viceroy. While their relationship was fulfilling, a return to the Andorian Armada reminded her about the variety that is an Andorian relationship.
She and Toni have reconciled but Pasha could not help but think of her heritage. The pair were lying in bed after Pasha had just set off her human lover. Pasha looked at Antoinette, "What was your relationship with Admiral Tan like?"
Toni described Tan as a kind and gentle lover eager to please her as a partner. Toni looked at Pasha, "Are you jealous?"
Pasha took a deep breath, "No I am interested."
"Huh?", Toni looked at her Andorian Oliver.
"Andorians typically mate in groups of four which allows for the integration of passive and aggressive behaviours and exchange over the course of the bond. I was wondering about adding the Admiral to our group.", Pasha was terrified that Toni would be horrified and want to separate. Their relationship was under a lot of stress because of the two Andorian separations: One for the Andorian invasion of Klingon and one upon the arrival to the Gateway.
Toni looked at Pasha, "And we would all sleep together?"
"We could but typically Andorians switch partners sleeping in pairs but if you like, we could sleep as a trio.", Pasha started to giggle.
"So how to we broach the topic with the Hierarchy Clanner.", Pasha looked at Toni.
"I will talk to Tan.", Toni was trying to reconcile a million thoughts in her head. Was this right? Was it okay? How the hell was she going to tell Tan about the Andorian relationship?
Toni and the portly Tan were in Station Ops together when Toni had her chance, "Do you know why we are not together anymore?"
"Because you loved Pasha more.", the naive Tan responded bluntly.
"Because I love Pasha in a different way than I love you.", Toni corrected.
Toni asked Tan if he understood Andorian mating patterns. Tan had been briefed in all races by Summer Vasa in service to Station Destiny. He described the four partner mating group with the scientific precision that made him so good at his job. There was no love or connection just blunt descriptors.
Toni looked at Tan, "Do you love me?"
"Of course but I have chosen to step aside in favour of your love for Pasha.", Tan looked at Toni.
"What if you did not have to? What if you could be a part of our group?", Toni looked back at Tan, "Like the Andorians."
"What about you? Would you be comfortable with me and Pasha?", Tan asked.
"I think so.", Toni looked at Tan.
"Would you like both of us at the same time?", Toni asked.
Tan looked very embarrassed. Summer had taught him about love but never like this. Toni looked at Tan, "We will be gentle."
Tan looked at Toni, "Commander, you have the con."
Toni and Pasha dressed in their sexiest lingerie and wandered down the hall. Using an override code, the two beauties waltzed into the bedroom of the Clanner. Pasha gasped seeing the naked Tan without any sexual organs. The Hierarchy are cloned. There is no need. Pasha looked at Toni, "Are you this is okay?"
Toni crawled in and started kissing Tan. Pasha started kissing his other cheek. Tan gave a huge smile feeling the affection. Toni looked at Pasha, "Wait until you feel his amazing fingers."
Soon each girl was sitting on a separate wiggling fingers and the portly brown leathery skinned alien was able to look up at the two beautiful aliens kissing and fondling each other's breasts. He was in a human wet dream. He is harmless and non-threatening. He was perfect for their little ménage a trios.
Pasha and Toni were in Ops the next morning when Admiral Deveniss walked into see the smiling duo.
Tan came walking. Deveniss looked at him and then at the girls once more, "You dirty dog."
Tan smiled, both embarrassed and proud at the same time. He went straight to work. His gentle nature would not allow him to brag about his conquest.
Pasha walked over to Deveniss, "He was awesome!", she whispered.
Deveniss just shook his head and smiled at the Tan.
