"All right people, on your game!", Skye shouted, "Kabarann attacked a House of Larle strong hold her in the Beta Penthe System. Casey has agreed to serve as the Battalion Aide Station. We are getting wounded from both sides. Let's go! Let's go! We about to go all Red Alert here!"
"I don't know nothing about Klingon physiology.", Nicole looked at Skye.
"You sure as hell do. Go back to your training. You wanted to be a damn doctor once. You wanted to be useful around here without having to run the colony or the academy. I trained you. You can do this, toots!", Skye pep talked her student. Skye slapped Nicole's ass hard, "Time to go to work!"
Soon all hell broke loose as Klingons and mercenaries from both sides beamed into the ropyaH Qach. Governor Aadarsh neroQ came into the operating theatre, "Many resources here are strained due to the rebuild of the colony. There will be no extreme life preserving members. Triage out those who might require additional energy and let them die. To die of a battlefield wound is to die with honour. May Stovokor sing their praises!"
Nicole was feverishly working on a Klingon as the Governor came by. She was frantically running all sensor scans. Aadarsh looked at Nicole, "This soldier is marked by the House of Larle. He stood against the Klingon Federation. You are wasting your time on this man. Move on to,a representative of the Empire Armed Forces."
Casey came walking over, "Is there a problem, Governor?"
"The forces loyal to Chancellor Kabarann would be treated first. Do I make myself clear?", Aadarsh looked at Casey, a Larle.
"Triage medicine will be performed by competent medical professionals and not by the governor. If you would like to make medical decisions, you should enroll in the academy and take the necessary training.", Casy snapped.
"Now why would I do that?", Aadarsh sniped.
The man on the med-bed took a huge breath coming back to life. Casey looked at Governor neroQ, "She did.", pointing at Nicole.
The room erupted in clapping as Nicole's patient breathed deeply. Nicole looked at Casey and then at Skye, "Next!", she smiled.
The corpsman brought in the next survivor. Nicole felt alive for the first time since she lost the colony in the Delta Quadrant.
