Illyan came to Reykja Penthe to negotiate Temporal Dilithium trade with the Betazoid Alliance. He was trying to be his diplomatic best by hosting a gala welcoming the House of neroQ, Francois and Nicole as well as Governor Bella Pan'Taar.
The King's Fleet was totally open to a stronger relationship with the Betazoid Alliance to help strengthen their position against the Federation but the Klingons did not trust the Betazoid Alliance and in fact the neroQ family did not trust Illyan at all because of the rivalry between Louis neroQ and Illyan Coren over Loiza Coren who had an affair with the masterful Klingon.
Illyan was standing near the bar when Colonel Zoe Beamon, the blue skinned Bolian hybrid walked by. Illyan looked at Zoe, "You look beautiful out of uniform."
Zoe smiled, "Thank you Admiral."
Illyan invited the Bolian for a drink. Zoe and Illyan were then talking about the long history of the colonies. It was rewarding for Zoe and her Zombies to be recognized for their work in protecting the colonies by someone other than Generals Brown or Tanus. Zoe was very flattered.
Illyan rolled over to see Zoe coming back into the room at Zek's. He smiled, "I guess the negotiations were a complete success."
Zoe laughed.
