As Bella Pan'Taar stepped down as governor of Penthe Gwenievere, Monica was struggling with the moping around of the already limited use Admiral Deveniss of Selay. Admiral Monica Montgomery finally suggested to Devenss that the role of Governor would be ideally suited for the depressed and in fact disgraced Chief of Staff.
Deveniss has not recovered from the loss of his new child Charliss and his older daughter Makkriss in the temporal incident. He left for the surface to oversee the construction of the mining facility similar to the asteroid used to mine Antarian Accelerant. His initial work has been acceptable.
He and Nicole have been seen sitting alone in the mess hall drinking wine and suffering the loss of their children together. Misery loves company.
