"If we were aboard the station, we would simply use a transporter filter to remove the virus.", Skye looked at Tan.
"But we are not aboard the station. We do not have access to that level of technology. The infection will likely kill the child.", Tan spoke calmly.
"You don't understand. I promised her she would live.", Dr. Greene started to cry.
Tan looked at her, "You area Doctor. You should know better than to make promises like that.", Admiral Tan frowned.
Sympathy looked at Tan, her mentor and her lover, "It is not like you to give up so easily."
"I am not a god, Sympathy. The infection is within all her organs. The virus will kill her.", Tan bluntly explained.
"But what about a transporter filter?", Sympathy looked at Tan.
"I agree. In children especially we have even been able to help manage the Phage. The trouble, Dr. Ford, is that we do not have a transporter.", Tan stood up.
"We have some of the smartest minds in the known universes, Xact Tchilack, Acrylos Teero and Tegora Vasa, maybe we can build one.", Sympathy suggested.
"We have clear instructions that the only tools permitted arena d held and easily hidden. We cannot bring or use a transporter.", Tan was growing angry with this line of observation.
"Not even for one time use?", Sympathy looked at Tan.
"How and where are you going to build one in secret?", Tan snapped.
"How about inside the Princess Catherine? No one would care about technology being loaded into the communications unit.", Xact looked at Tan.
Tan looked at Jackie, "Not you too?"
"Hey, she promised the kid.", Jackie responded.
"Given the computer power available, adjustments would need to be made manually. Adjustments and calculations at that speed would require data entry faster than any human.", Colonel Teero joined the conversation.
"That ends that.", Tan frowned.
"There is someone who might be able to enter that data that quickly.", Victoria Viceroy had been listening in, still in her biker gear.
"I am listening.", Skye looked at Victoria.
"Click could do it.", Victoria thought of her Xindi lover.
"Click is dead!", Tan bluntly stopped to conversation.
"Not exactly.", Victoria looked at the group of Doctors, "Because of the temporal adjustment to 2388, Tchilick Tchilack exists as a mercenary pilot having just defected from the Xindi."
"Are you sure this is not a ploy to get your Click back?", Tan continued to bring the conversation down.
"While I admit, I would love to have Click back here. I miss him so much. However that aside, his speed at data entry has saved many a vessel.", Victoria was trying to convince herself and the others.
Tan looked at Victoria, "The Click you retrieve will not have any of the history. He will not know of his service to the Tanmesad, the Quest or the Hive and you would have mere hours to convince him to participate."
"Worse yet, the transporter would be highly unstable using this primitive technology. He would have to agree, be briefed and make the data entry in those mere hours.", Acrylos reminded the group.
Skye looked at Admiral Tan, "We have to try."
Tan paced back and forth, "You get one shot."
Victoria looked in the window of the Duchess. She blew Click a kiss. The Xindi Insectoid was still coming to grips with the human's story but she was beautiful. He began to feverishly make data corrections trying to recorrelate the child and to do it manually.
Acrylos stood with Admiral Illyan Coren standing next to the Archangel. The Bajoran looked at the Betazoid fire chief, "You have to wait until we give the signal even though it is going to catch fire before the recombination occurs."
"Aye Colonel.", the Betazoid legend responded.
The Ducjess burst into flames. Click continued to feverishly push buttons even though the cube van was burning up. Christine looked at Skye and Victoria, "You owe me big time."
"Go! Go! Go!", Victoria shouted at Illyan and Raine.
The fire team went straight to work. Victoria got into the Providence as Terry and Cougar treated Click for smoke inhalation. She looked st the Xindi, "You are my hero."
She kissed the huge eyed alien on top of the head.
Skye took the little girl by the hand and lead her out to see her mom. She ran over to her mother. The mother looked at Skye crying. Skye started to cry.
Tan looked out through the one way glass. He smiled. Jackie looked at him, "Sometimes it's important to win one, no matter what the costs."
Tan smiled, "Thank you all for reminding me of that."
