"It is my honour to support Nicole Branson as Sheriff of Kings County.", Councillor Courtney Wellington stood with Nicole.
"Dr. Branson has supported our community as a medical doctor, a coroner for the KCSO,and most recently as the Sheriff's Office Chief of Staff assigning personnel throughout the city. She has served the community on the city council and deserves the office vacated by Sheriff Deveniss Selay who has stepped down after the attempt on his life. The honourable Officer Selay will remain on as the King's County Sheriff's Office Chief of Staff. This is a great day for our city and for womanhood.", Coyrtney smiled, taking questions from the crowd.
"No, I am not concerned about her sexual orientation. This is 2016 and about her ability to do the job. Our city is safe in her hands.", Courtney smiled.
Nicole left to meet with Admiral Tan. Tan had been pressuring Deveniss to return to the hospital and his one true love. He wanted to train others and manage the hospital not the Sheriff's Office. Nicole reluctantly agreed allowing the Fleet Executive Officer to become the hospital administrator. Nicole then did the unthinkable approaching Hatherton Fleet Commander in Chief Admiral Michaela Hatherton the opportunity to come to 2016 as deputy sheriff. Henry Hatherton would leave the Plato and return to head the Hatherton Fleet in the Delta Quadrant. He was ready now. He had commanded the Plato and the Archangel. Michaela wanted to be relevant and she, like the Romulans wanted access to the fixed Temporal point which is being used to map and then fly through wormholes in 2396 using technology developed by Dr. Xact Tchilack. Michaela accepted the position.
Nicole thought she had the world by the tail until an expose on her sexual life was ran including very racy pictures of Bella Pan'Taar. Bella claimed she could handle it but she was deeply hurt by the article. She left Nicole a "Dear Jane" letter including a picture of her with Henry Hatherton about the Hatgerton Station in 2396. Nicole's heart was broken again by Bella.
The image devastated two women in the county. Dr. Ro Marino was devastated that Henry chose the Tellarite over her and Nicole was devastated that she had been crushed by Bella again.
Courtney told Nicole that this was probably for the best because of the constant media scrutiny over her liking girls anyway. Nicole did not care about that. She was alone again.
Dee Orion, the former D'Tall was just too good at moving through the city to have her talents wasted aboard the Plato. She had learned the city so well on the seat of the bike that Deveniss quickly moved her to the Duchess after realizing that amazing skill set. Rochelle and Dennis took the Plato. They wanted some alone time and both were looking for a real command now. Rochelle saw the opportunity now that Michaela had a lot of authority in the Sheriff's Office.
Nicole was standing in the courtyard of the Renaissance when a beautiful leggy blond walked around the corner.
The young lady looked at Nicole, "My father was afraid that the Tellarite Fleet would lose access to the wormhole network."
"Huh?", Nicole looked at the beauty.
"And looking like this, I can be outside no problem.", Trudi grinned.
Nicole screamed, "Oh my god, Trudi!"
She ran over and literally picked up the beauty and twirled her around. Nicoke kissed her. Trudi's kiss was not romantic. Nicole looked at her.
"You chose Bella and even Jandaa over me.", Trudi looked at Nicole, "We will take this slow. I need to know you are sure."
"Okay.", Nicole mumbled. She was secretly just happy that Trudi came.
Nicole came home the next evening. She walked into the kitchen. Trudi was standing there.
Trudi winked at Nicole, "Okay, I think we waited long enough."
Trudi let the towel she was wearing fall to the floor. Nicole walked over grabbing the humanized Tellarite. She picked her off the floor and smiled, "What brought this on?"
Trudi grinned as she kissed Nicole, "For all the talk of being all inclusive and free, 2396 is not filled with people like what you and Vincent have built with this group. There is not the freedom that "home" can offer. I have been on the road with the Tellarite Ambassadors Corps. They are bunch of stodgy jerks who are not fans of Branson Beauty or VPN preferring Tellarites to look like troll like hog people. It is hard to land a date looking like that."
Trudi grabbed at Nicole's dress ripping out her breasts, "Damn Nicole, I have been so lonely. I am just so horny."
The truly is a new sheriff in town.
