Newton, or Military Doctor N’Ton of Gorn was looking to continue his research around firing weapons at Warp Speed when he heard of the Vulcan Neanderthal J’Tak. He needed to meet Jet. He loved the concept of the brought back to life predecessor of the Vulcans and Romulans. He interviewed the pilot thoroughly before allowing her to begin testing in the shuttles on his behalf. The pair were soon continuing his important but highly dangerous experiments.
Jet had joked that she was supposed to be dead anyway so if she died, it would only be beneficial to the timeline. As the experiments got more intense, Newton told Jet that he did not want her to die. Jet was overwhelmed by the statement from her Gorn mentor.
After a particularly successful day, the two were sipping wine in the Academy faculty lounge celebrating another success photon torpedo launch under warp. The Gorn put up his four fingered hand and smiled, “High five…. Or in my case, high four.”
Jet laughed and slapped her hand against the physics guru. She felt an immediate energy between the pair. She slowly lowered her hand and stared at the Physics doctor. The pair met eye to eye. The Gorn just stared. He did not know what to say.
