Fleet Admiral Walter Windsor is coming to Reykja Penthe. Though he still does not support the regional fleet authority, he has come to admire the interactions between the King’s Fleet and the Klingons. He also has been appreciative of Covenant Station fueling Klingon Vessels loyal to the 2400 agreement.
Governor Bernice “Bunny” Branson and King’s Fleet Deputy Commander in Chief Deveniss of Selay were planning to meet Fleet Admiral Windsor. King’s Fleet Commander In Chief Christian Moyer felt that this was a better duo because of his father.
Bunny and Deveniss were often together meeting to be briefed about the Klingon Treaty, the interactions with the Klingons who do not support the treaty and King’s Fleet history. Admiral Windsor’s daughter Monica is still missing after the failure of the last King’s Fleet colony. He does not have much sympathy for the King’s Fleet or its leadership.
During one of the briefing sessions, Admiral Deveniss reported that he was feeling fatigued. He simply went over and laid on the furniture in the briefing room. Bunny went over and sat near the Admiral continuing to read from the briefing document.
Soon she too felt fatigue. They had been going at the briefings over and over again. She laid next to the Admiral. In a bizarre turn of events, he released a portion of his cloak and covered her cuddling her with one arm.
Bunny felt safe. She had not felt safe in a long long time.
