Part of a Crew; Part of a Family Empty
PostSubject: Part of a Crew; Part of a Family   Part of a Crew; Part of a Family EmptySun Oct 01, 2023 4:08 am

Commander T’Ensa of Vulcan addressed her senior staff aboard the Providence after the Rhodes Island Class had engaged a Klingon K’Tinga Class in the disputed territories. The speedy vessel had survived the engagement but the crew was clearly rattled.

The Vulcan asked them what was bothering them.

Picasso Leo, the flight commander went first, “I lack the experience to engage the war-like Klingons with their level of expertise.”

T’Ensa quickly put that aside, “You will learn on the fly. You are a fine pilot. I know this because we are here to have this conversation.”

The Caitian chuckled at her pun, “Learn on the fly…”

The Vulcan looked at him puzzled. Natasha looked at T’Ensa, “It’s a pun ma’am. He is after all the flight commander.”

T’Ensa gave a forced half laugh as only a Vulcan can.

The Vulcan looked at the Borg Disconnect, Tori. The Borg Disconnect, very cognizant of her appearance as she always is. She looked at her commanding officer, “I am afraid of being alone again.”

T’Ensa looked at the Borg Disconnect as Tori described being left behind and disconnected from the Hive mind. She broke down into tears as she described the loneliness and the cannibalizing each other to stay alive taking Borg Implants from dead Borgs to keep living.

T’Ensa looked at Tori, “You are part of a crew now. No one gets left behind.”

Picasso leaned over and put his arm on shoulder of the Borg Disonnect and leaned his head down on her forehead.

Dakota smiled knowing that a bond was forming amongst the leadership. She turned to T’Ensa and smiled.

T’Ensa smiled back. Dakota winked. T’Ensa looked very unnerved but she smiled back.
