Admiral Deveniss, Admiral Tan and Admiral Constantine Coren were talking about the fleet activities in the region. The Governor soon showed up with Click and Tracer.
Deveniss looked at the two aliens, “Flyboys, yay!!”
Bunny smiled, “Gentlemen and Tan…”
The Admiral frowned at the Governor. Bunny sat down. She too knew that the Fleet had not had much success lately.
Commander Sunny Jo Warren came to get Deveniss to meet with Admiral Illyan Coren. Deveniss had no desire to meet with the old man. Coren was addressing the fleet staff with a raw raw speech. Deveniss was not buying it.
He went out back to meet with Colonel Trapor and the Marines. They too had suffered some losses recently. This was not a good day.
The Admirals then congregated at Zek’s for a drink. The Academy chef Paagu Brontonius was behind the bar. The Tellarite winked at Deveniss. He did not think it was very cool.
There was a call from Admiral Illyan Coren to indicate that General Batok of the Klingon Rebels was at the Gowron Array. The Admiral and Commander Sunny Jo Warren, the Task Force Commander came to the Station.
Admiral Deveniss looked at the Klingon and then looked at Tan, his long time colleague. He looked back at Governor Branson and then frowned. He turned and SLUGGED THE KLINGON RIGHT IN THE JAW!!
I have never seen the Selayan act this way. Hell, I have never seen the Selayan move so fast. The Klingon went down like he had been shot.
The Klingon slowly got up looking at the Selayan, “Not bad. I think I could like you.”
“We will meet in a couple of weeks.”, Batok looked at Deveniss and laughed loudly, “I think I could like you.”
