The Omega Academy is pleased to announce the selection of Crewman Recruit Giselle Veltkamp, niece of Admiral Tim Veltkamp, Mayor of the Veltkamp Village as the new Student Leader. With Ensign D'Solos Vreenak being accepted as Chief of Operations aboard the USS Archangel, the need to fill the position quickly was apparent.
Veltkamp has already been seen at student protests against the use of the migrant workers in the Omega Sands operations. She is an outspoken critic of the Vulcan construction of the shanty town and the horrid conditions therein.
