Lt. Geyn Cheko brought Tania Branson and Christina Lodge to the Phoenix Colony from Cardassia Prime aboard the Tongue. Tania really wanted to see Brenna, her grand child. There had been a break in the warfare, a tenuous truce between the Detapa Council and the Free Cardassia Movement had allowed the Borg Disconnect and her scientist lover to travel to Omega Prime to see their grand child.
Nicole loved to have the authority to use the powerful slipstream ship to bring her mother to the colony. Lt. Cheko had the nerve to lecture her about the use of the powerful vessel to bring in her mother was inappropriate. The saurian pilot informed the Vice President that the ship was for use by her to travel between Outpost 395 and New Terra. Nicole laughed, "You have no idea what its like when a grandma wants to see her grand child."
Tania spent the day with Brenna oblivious to the ground battle in the Villa. The truth is this was a time for grandma and grand child and had nothing to do with a Klingon invasion or any other reality. Brenna was exhausted. Tania put her to bed. Nicole was sitting on the couch playing with a PADD when Tania asked what they could do for fun. She had been aboard the Tanmesad for weeks without a break.
Nicole looked at her, "I just wanna stay in."
Tania looked at Nicole, "Come on, Nikki."
Magenta came out of the kitchen, "We could go to the Commune."
"Let's do that.", Christina said.
Soon the four women were in the commune dancing around. Magenta came back to the table. Nicole was there sitting alone.
"Where are your parents?", Magenta asked.
"I don't know. They were kissing like school girls. I complained and they left.", Nicole barely looked up from her glass.
Magenta went to find them. She did not want them not to be having a good time. She scoured the club only to discover that they had went into the back, "The Red Light District". Magenta went back there. She could not help herself. She peaked into the room to find Tania rubbing the breasts of Christina and the pair moaning. She turned away. It was like watching your parents having sex. She was totally grossed out.
Magenta went back to the table and sat down. Nicole looked up, "What's wrong with you?"
"Nikki, do you think we are gonna be able to grow old together?", Magenta asked.
"What?", Nicole responded.
"Do you think we will be able to be cool old ladies or will we drift apart as we become less sexual.", Magenta asked.
"Magic, its 2389. We will age as gracefully as we wish. Cosmetics can assure that. Hormones can assure that.", Nicole did not see the metaphysical level of the question in the Betazoid heart of Magenta Coren-Branson.
The pair went home. Tania and Christina were very quiet. Christina even laid her head on Tania's shoulder and went to sleep exhausted after their evening together.
Magenta and Nicole went to bed. They kissed passionately. Nicole looked at Magenta, "We can grow old together."
Magenta smiled, "I sure hope so."
