Vincent and Robert headed out to the Inflatable to meet with the Ferengi after Rover Powers reported the Dogfather was back to his old tricks getting involved with the new humans and with extortion. Captain Leo and the Military Commander in Chief wanted to make sure that both Cleveland Powers, the Dogfather and Zek Ishka knew that they would be monitored closely during the Pilgrimmage.
Rover had his hover car all busted up after threatening to expose the Antican crime lord Cleveland Powers for his involvement in extortion involving the new inhabitants. Rover threatened to get Marcus Dinn involved. Cleveland and Marcus did not see eye to eye. The local bar owner did not want any trouble with his cousin, Cleveland.
Robert and Vincent enjoyed a nice dinner. Zek had prepared a feast. His lovely confidente Nina Nyland sat with the pair and Ishka played the innocent but spilled the beans about Cleveland.
As they walked outside, Robert looked at Vincent, "One step forward, two steps back. We always seem to be back here. Whenever we get a new batch of immigrants, we have to deal with this crap. Maybe we should just close the borders."
Vincent looked at Robert, "We did not close them when the Caitains came."
The words brought a huge silence as the pair got into the shuttle. Vincent was right. We can't close the borders just because this is hard work. We need to control the Dogfather and the Ferengi Fugitive. Simple as that.
