Brenna was struggling to focus on her homework. She even rested her poor little head on the tablet PADD and slept. The darkness was the hardest on the children and the elderly of Wells City. Nicole looked at Brenna, "Come on, sweetie, you have to do your homework."
Nicole had huge sympathy for her young charge. Nicole helped Brenna sit up and then helped her finish up the data entry, "Sweetie, you better go to bed."
"Mom, when is the sun coming back?", Brenna sheepishly asked, her eyes filled with sleep.
"Twenty days.", Nicole frowned.
Nicole tucked the little one in and came downstairs. She looked at Magenta, "Magic, I wish I could bring the sun back; for the children."
Magenta sat there, her scientist brain moving a mile a minute.
"What if we could.", Magenta smiled.
"What?", Nicole asked.
"Come to the elementary at noon tomorrow.", Magenta smiled, "You will see."
Nicole arrived at the school as Magenta and her staff from the Yang Liwei Institute arrived. They immediately set to work.
Nicole could not believe the look in the eyes of the children.
"You are truly magical.", Nicole kissed Magenta on the cheek.
