Vincent looked at Colonel Brown, "Any updates on our children?"
The Antican Marine frowned, "There is nothing. The children have disappeared."
"Is there a chance they were taken off world?", Vincent frowned.
"There are no ships in orbit other than the Klingons and the King's Battlegroup.", Elora interrupted. She felt their pain, having two children of her own.
"There have been no transporter activations off world.", Acrylos walked into the Federation Complex war room. The engineer could monitor such activity.
"They gotta be here.", Nicole shouted, her impatience growing.
Major General Fidelis came in, "We have another warning to give up control of the Colony and its Omega Sands or the children will be killed."
"Where did the warning come?", Nicole snapped.
"To ONN.", Christine walked into the room.
"It is worse, Nicole. They have promised to kill one of the children on a live frequency in 48 hours if they do not have control of the colony.", Christine warned.
"If you broadcast that, I will kill you.", Nicole snapped.
"I will be covering the events as they unfold.", Christine snapped back.
Vincent stepped between the girls as Nicole stepped towards Christine, "This will not help anyone."
"Perhaps we can trace the frequency.", Vincent looked at Acrylos and Elora.
"That would be too late. One of our children would already be dead.", Nicole's bottom lip quivered.
"What if they were testing the frequency in advance?", Magenta interjected.
"It would only be up for a few seconds.", Acrylos responded.
"But maybe we could check it from Governor's Station.", Elizabeth and Eugenio came in.
"We would have very powerful sensors.", Elizabeth continued.
Nicole looked at Elizabeth. This was a whole new side of her.
Elizabeth gave a half smile, "This is our granddaughter."
Both Magenta and Nicole smiled. Elora looked at Elizabeth, "I will contact Summer right away. This may be our in."
There was a huge hush in the Federation Complex. Everyone just sat around for what seemed like hours.
"USS Providence to Federation Complex.", Jo Jo Viceroy's voice boomed into the room.
Elora stood up, "This is a secured frequency, Lieutenant. Please do not use this for colony contact."
Jo Jo seemed flustered, "Why would the Romulans be testing a subspace transmitter when they have a functional satellite probe for communication with the Empire?"
"What did she just say?", Acrylos stood up walking towards the table top scanners.
Vincent screamed, "The Romulans have our children!!"
