The Fires of Omega – Teero Tragedy Empty
PostSubject: The Fires of Omega – Teero Tragedy   The Fires of Omega – Teero Tragedy EmptySat Jan 17, 2009 8:28 am

Student Leader Wendy Smith was supposed to be an operative acting in secret on behalf of Dr. Skye Greene but she could not help herself. She began telling her classmates about the project and about the discovery that the Teero cousins, Tiara and Tacita had been manipulated as part of a Founder / Jem'Hadar plot to gain access to the Omega energy of the colony. Wendy was in tears when she addressed the student body.

Admiral Vincent Viceroy literally begged her not do it because he knew it would come to this. Within hours of the Wendy Smith announcement, the Omega News Network broke the story. In a prison on Bajor, the two girls were killed. Now, not only had they been wrongly accused and sentenced to life imprison, they had paid for that wrongful imprisonment with their lives. This is why addressing the students should be the responsibility of the Chancellor or Vice Chancellor.

Wendy was devastated and went to see Christine. Ms. T'Nley had covered the student press conference when the revelations were made. Wendy tried to attack Christine. Members of the Omega News Network held her back. Wendy began screaming about how the media had convicted the girls and then killed the girls.

Christine snapped, "You, Ms. Smith, killed the girls. No one gave you permission to spill the story. The Fleet would have properly investigated and got the girls released but you blabbed the story to everyone. The Jem'Hadar and their crazed Weyoun leader had to make certain that you look like some sort of crackpot and believe me many subspace media groups are calling you just that and applauding the deaths of the Teero girls as moral victories."

Wendy was crying badly. Christine was right. She wanted to be a leader. She wanted to be an officer but her Academy claim to fame is a temporal observation that despite her disertation can never actually be proven and has resulted in two blatant murders.

Vincent had followed Wendy to the ONN offices. He walked in and glared at Christine. Christine glared back at Vincent, "Have you arrested Branson for slugging me and taken your rightful place as CO of the Colony?"

Vincent hated the question, "Bitch!" , he muttered.

Christine looked at Vincent, "Quite the operation she runs here. The girl is no sooner cleared for duty and we find out that the Jem'Hadar have doomed the planet to Omega Devastation, two innocent young ladies are killed in a Bajoran prison and it is revealed that she used a student in a temporal experiment. Well done, Vice Admiral Branson."

Vincent had his arm around the shoulders of Wendy. He took of his coat and put it over her shoulders as she cried. These students need to grow a lot before they become officers. Vincent looked back at Christine, "The Command Staff are having a meeting tomorrow to decide the fate of the planet. If you can keep your attacks to a minimum, you can come."

Christine, the half Vulcan ONN producer, looked at Vincent, "I don't want to die and I don't trust you all to save me. I will be there."
