The two powerful Betazoids were followed closely by Rear Admiral Eugenio Coren and Federation Commodore Alexander Paige as they entered the Federation Complex.
Elora looked at Alexander, "What the hell are you doing here?"
"I am consulting on the cartography of the colony.", Alexander boasted.
Elora picked up a PADD, tapped a few buttons and shoved it into Alexander's chest, "Here's a map now get him out of here."
Vincent walked over, "Easy, Commander. These are our guests."
Vincent looked at Alexander and Illyan, "Gentlemen, there is a clear misunderstanding regarding the Williams Accord which presented this territory to the Phoenix Federation."
Vincent introduced Commander T'tan, the Vulcan Judge Advocate General from the colony. Paige despised her. She had been responsible for sentencing Dominic Montgomery to death in absentia and banning him from the colony. She had been the one who sentenced Paige's plant, Cleveland Powers to death.
The Vulcan started to speak but was interrupted by Admiral Illyan Coren, "If the Federation does not recognize the current laws of the colony, the authority of your Judge is invalid and her opinions are irrelevant."
Illyan looked at his two aides, "Just as the other buildings, I would like a detailed accounting of everything here."
Vincent looked at Illyan, "Look, OLD FRIEND."
Vincent emphasized the last two words. He and Illyan had known each other for nearly two decades. The original Governor's Station orbited Izar, near Betazed.
"This is a misunderstanding. These materials are not for your inventory. If you do not step back, further actions on our part will be taken.", Vincent glared at Illyan.
"Step back, Commodore Viceroy.", Alexander Paige warned.
"What about a negotiated settlement?", Eugenio Coren responded.
"What, no.", Paige glared at Eugenio.
Vincent looked at Eugenio, "What?"
"We should not be meeting under such terms. We should be meeting where there is but a table and no distractions.", Eugenio proposed.
"There is nothing to negotiate.", Elora interrupted.
"The colony is ours.", Elora snapped.
"The colony is ours.", Paige snapped.
Both the Betazoids and the Colonists glared at Paige. Commodore Alexander Paige realized he had made a mistake with his choice of words. The Federation had blundered by exposing its intentions again.
Illyan looked at Paige and then Viceroy, "On Governor's Station, in 24 hours..."
Vincent looked at Illyan, "Done."
