Elizabeth and Eugenio have given so much to the Phoenix Colony. The Coren's have a deep hatred for Nicole Branson and the citizens of the colony.
Though the hatred is unfounded, Elizabeth and Eugenio blame Nicole for the death of Orchid Coren. Orchid was killed by her ex-husband Addison Laree on the streets of Omega Prime trying to return to Nicole Branson. Despite the facts, Elizabeth blamed Nicole for the death of Orchid.
Magenta Coren was kidnapped by Klingon rebels as retaliation for the colony taking back the city of Kalama. Though she was not directly involved, Elizabeth blamed Nicole for not protecting Magenta. Magenta was beheaded by the Klingons and the incident was broadcast ONN. It is the darkest moment in colony history... until now.
The Retarnee transphasic weaponry brutally intercepted fluidic space costing the life of a 8472 fighter pilot. A life for life. The rule of nature is very simple. Nicole and Auburn were on their way back from New Terra when the Species 8472 carrier appeared in our space. Species 8472 achieved victories over the Borg, the Federation and countless other races. They were highly advanced.
