The sheer beauty of a wormhole is something that is so special. To see a gap in the universe form is something that only a small number of people ever get the opportunity to ever see. People would come from all around to see the Bajoran Wormhole at Terok Nor.
The Phoenix Federation would use the one at Amleth Prime to enter the Beta Quadrant from the Cardassian Sector. When the colony was in the Typhon Expanse, the ships of the King's Battlegroup could travel from Cardassia to the Expanse.
The Phoenix Federation would also use the one in the Azure Nebula on the edge of Romulan Space to travel deep into the Beta Quadrant and Station Destiny.
Now, Dr. Skylight Greene and several others had come to Second Corinthians. A discovery by Betazoid Scientists had shown that the wormhole was beginning to form. Typically the journey from Betazed to Outpost 394 can take up to 5 to 6 months. When the wormhole is open, it can take mere seconds. It is a site of incredible beauty and a miracle of space and time.
Admiral Alexander Laree is coming. He can now come without any interference. The Betazoid contingent would like to be able to control if and when the wormhole opens. Right now, they can only just use it when it is open.
