Vincent grumbled all night and then finally got Zoe by herself out behind the club as the gala event put on by Felicity Powers to celebrate John Warren's coronation as Fleet Commander was coming to an end.
Vincent looked at his partner, "This is an event where there are expectations of the Governor and his people. Dressing like that is inappropriate."
Zoe looked at Vincent and just scoffed.
"Are you listening to me?", Vincent repeats.
"Vincent, I used to come to these events with Nicole Branson in worse.", Zoe smiled.
"I thought you liked these.", Zoe pushed up on the bottom of her breasts.
Vincent thought about his age, about Elora and now about Zoe. She was right. He liked those. He wondered about Christiine T'Nley and what she would say about the appearance of the retired Colonel.
Vincent put his arm around her and he actually thought of Branson and her often brazen public appearances, "Dress however the hell you want my love."
