Up to this point, Nicole had spent the bulk of her time in quarters on Starbase 756 but now with the new agreement she needed to be closer to the mine.
She brought Colby, Mac and Brenna to the surface. She and Rosalie walked up to the housing assigned to the mining management.
Nicole looked at the steel structure and frowned. She thought back to the housing on the Phoenix Colony. The stacked honeycomb housing was designed to allow the Cardassians to have access to quick housing on the colony. Even that was better than this...
Brenna looked at the graffiti on the steps and then back at her mother. She too thought of life on the Phoenix Colony and James T. Kirk Elementary and then life on Ephyra attending Starfleet East. This is horrible.
Rosalie looked at Nicole, "It is not the house that makes the home."
Truer words were never spoken. It was time for the Prang'Laar-Branson household to be formed.
