Ophelia came to the colony because of a crush on Nicole Branson. She knew the former Governor because of her relationship with Dr. Peneleaus Prang'Laar and believed that she too could share a relationship with the human beauty. Ophelia literally threw herself at Nicole and the pair had a brief fling.
Nicole had struggled with a relationship with a student a couple of times in her life including an almost ugly stalking relationship with now Captain S'Nii of Vulcan when she took the young lady into her home as a student billet. Nicole did not want to have a relationship with a student and soon fell out of favor with Ophelia.
To her credit, Ophelia Prang'Laar focused on her studies moving beyond just being a cheerleader at the university actually rising to the rank of USS Plato's Academy Executive Officer. Ophelia currently serves on the ship as the Chief Tactical Officer.
Ophelia knew that Nicole had checked her out in the Academy change room. Ophelia knew that Nicole often appeared in her private life in cool hats and often shopped in the mall in Camelot that bares her name, the Branson Bazaar. The Bazaar is built in homage to the first such facility on the Phoenix Colony and serves as a place to congregate, to enjoy a grand cup of coffee and some good conversation.
Ophelia knew that Nicole would be there with her children. She knew what she liked and she dressed to impress. Nicole could not help but glance at the Tellarite beauty. Ophelia smiled and winked but disappeared into the crowd. She wanted Nicole to want her. She had tried to be the one who wanted Nicole before and that had failed. This was a new step to romance.
Nicole was left wanting more.
