Klingon Politics Empty
PostSubject: Klingon Politics   Klingon Politics EmptyMon Jun 09, 2014 7:04 pm

Christine has longed for a scoop to put her back into the forefront of interplanetary politics. She had begun to believe she was little more than a glorified weather girl in the extreme weather of Camelot.

Christine had been more noted for her bare breasted relationship with the pilot Tracklerca than for her ability to cover the politics of the colony.

Her recent editorial on the Klingon associations of the Antican governor Carleton Porter has been roundly panned as the musing of a bitter jilted women and not the astute observations of a fine political commentator.

Christine was very upset at the observations of the Federation Broadcasting Network (FBN). She really wanted to score a big story.

The recent victory of Chancellor Kabarann in the Klingon Empire has been a major story in the region. Christine started there. She soon learned that TihloQ Kabarann had a lot of trouble funding his rise from regional governor to Chancellor. He had done some hardcore gambling to raise the funds. He struggled in the beginning losing a fair bit. One of those early losses was the colony charter for Reykja Penthe to notorious regional underground leader Zek Ishka.

Kabarann has been paying tribute to Ishka to keep the victory quiet but now as Chancellor of the Klingon Empire, the Klingon has stopped the Latinum transfers. The loss of the tribute payments has led to Ishka producing the charter and providing copies to Daimon-Ress Komol in the hopes of making a play for the colony.

The revelation has caused a serious stir in Klingon politics. The revelation has also caught the interest of interplanetary politics. President Parker Hatherton has indicated that if the document is valid, the Federation would back Ferengi control of the critical Dilithium trade in the region.

This revelation is linked to greater Federation access to the Ice Dilithium. Better to deal with the Ferengi than to deal with the Klingons.

Neither Governor Carleton Porter, operating on the Klingon Charter Agreement with the King's Fleet or King's Fleet commander in chief Admiral Vincent Viceroy have issued a comment.
