"Considering the exposure created by a guerrilla warfare with Klingon insurgents on the ground, the casualties are within acceptable limits.", General Tanus looked at Admiral Viceroy.
"It is 2394, no casualties are acceptable particularly in a Federation predicated on peaceful exploration and contact. The foundations of The Federation, Starfleet and the regional Fleet structure is exploration and peaceful expansion.", Admiral Deveniss, the old Selayan spewed Fleet rhetoric.
"Please!", Tanus barked, "the foundation of colony life is tenuous survival. The Federation wants the colonies that border the Klingon Empire to serve as little more than a buffer zone. That zone requires bodies to lay across the path of the advancing and refurbishing Klingons."
Admiral Tan interrupted the rising tensions, "The matter before the leadership is minimizing the reoccurrence of the incidents, acknowledging the families and informing the ship commands. Task Force Commander Warren will inform the captaincy. General Tanus and the unit commanders will inform the families and Admiral Deveniss will inform Chancellor Kabarann of the acts of aggression."
Admiral Viceroy concluded the meeting, "I will approach the Romulan consulate for permission to bomb the mountains of Reykja Penthe. I will also inform the Starfleet o our intentions to stop the insurgents."
